Begin your day at the iconic BMW Group MINI Plant in Oxford — the historic heart of MINI production. This exclusive guided tour offers a behind-the-scenes look at one of the most advanced automotive manufacturing facilities in the UK.

You'll explore the evolution of car manufacturing in Oxford and the legacy of MINI before stepping onto the factory floor, where 1,200 robots and skilled employees bring each vehicle to life. Witness key stages of production, from the precision of the body shop to the final assembly line — including the critical "marriage" of power unit and body, validation testing, and final inspection.

Along the way, you’ll gain insight into the site’s heritage, scale of operations, and how continuous improvement is embedded into every part of high-performance manufacturing today.

11:15–15:30  Workshop Unlocking Human Potential in Manufacture

Following the tour, we’ll move into an engaging and interactive workshop focused on unlocking the full potential of people within structured, automated environments.

We’ll explore:

• Mental blockers that hold us and our teams back 
• Autonomy vs automation: How to create space for individual talent to thrive, even within repetitive processes and tightly controlled systems
• Systems and people: Identifying where human creativity, judgment, and connection remain essential for productivity and innovation. We'll also explore how strong team dynamics — trust, communication, and shared purpose — create a powerful opportunity to elevate performance beyond what systems alone can achieve.

Expect a collaborative environment that challenges traditional thinking about the role of people in manufacturing. You'll leave with fresh perspectives and practical actions to take back to your workplace.
